Hi- I am literally watching coviction right now.. I got it because my mother was murdered in 2006 and naturally I am now more interested in others murder trials... The scene of your mothers home made me sick and very sad, it reminded me so much of my moms brutal murder. My mom was also stabbed 30 x, I was a witness and her body was laying next to the bed with blood in every single room , just as what's portrayed in the movie. I know movies aren't always accurate though. I googled your mothers name and was glad to see this site with her picture, I am so terribly sorry for your loss and that the killer has not been found :( I cannot even imagine. My mothers murderer was caught on day one, and I still feel like I've gone through hell and back, so I can't begin to fathom what you and your brother are feeling :( I am so very sorry. I've only seen one picture of your mother on your site, but she is beautiful and I am thinking of her and your family. I'd love to speak with you if you want someone to talk to... God bless

Ms. Megan,
Thank you for posting your story, thoughts and feelings. I am also so sorry for your loss. I'm glad for you and your family that the murderer was caught. That does bring some sense of closure but it doesn't mend the heart 100%. My brother and i couldn't bare to watch the movie but I know the gist of it. My mother's case is a cold case and the Boston DA's office is re-evaluating it since the movie was released. No new news yet. Thank you for your kind words and for sharing. I wish you and your family peace.

The movie wasn't about your mother, It was about a sisters love for her brother and what length she would go to, to free her brother of a corrupt system. its a shame what happened to your mother, but a innocent man being jailed for 18 years is also a shame.
